K.C. Holder

2017 NACSA Leader

K.C. Holder will become the Director of the Northern Michigan University Charter Schools Office (NMU CSO), which authorizes nine schools, in July 2017. He currently is a Professor of Education in the Education, Leadership, and Public Service department at NMU and serves as the NMU CSO Lead Monitor for Educational Programs and Performance Contracting. He began working with NMU CSO in 2005, currently conducts annual site-visits to schools and presents at school board, administrator, and lead-teacher workshops. K.C. teaches foundations and mathematics methods courses in pre-service teacher education, as well as educational research courses at the graduate level. He started his career in education as a middle/high-school mathematics teacher having taught in New Mexico, Idaho, and Alaska.
