National Analysis of Authorizer Evaluation System Similarities and Differences

National Analysis of Authorizer Evaluation System

Current Research Project

Authorizing evaluation standards and systems vary across the United States. A number of new ideas and systems to evaluate authorizers have recently been introduced by a number of organizations across the country, which raises questions about such systems.

How much focus is on professional practices compared to outcomes?
What supportive mechanisms and consequences are embedded in these systems?
What do authorizers think about these evaluation systems?

NACSA aims to add to the literature by exploring the similarities and differences amongst systems recently created by think tanks, individual states and professional associations. With the information made publicly available from these resources, this project will describe the purposes of the authorizer evaluation systems, as well as the similarities and differences between them.
