Veronica is NACSA’s Vice President of State & Institutional Change. She equips authorizers and policymakers with data-driven insights and practical tools to improve both policy and practice. She also oversees the development of research on critical policy issues affecting charter school authorizing, translating findings into actionable resources.

Her experiences as a former teacher and as an authorizer gives Veronica a grounded understanding of the realities within education. Additionally, her years of experience in policy helps her to analyze complex education issues, develop data-driven solutions, and craft actionable strategies that enable her to design impactful policies and research that empower authorizers to drive equity and quality in the schools they oversee.

Veronica holds a master’s degree in public policy from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Virginia. She also holds a Driving Strategic Impact certificate from the Columbia Business School.

When she is not advocating on policy issues or driving research, Veronica can usually be found chauffeuring her young kids around to activities or battling her husband in Wordle.
