Director of Charter Schools, Shelby County Schools

Daphné J.M. Robinson is currently the Director of Charter Schools for Shelby County Schools in Memphis, Tennessee. She oversees all authorization functions within the district. She also provides oversight, accountability, and support for the charter schools authorized by the district. Daphne brings a unique perspective to the newly reinvented Office of Charter Schools. She spent 13 years serving students in a nationally recognized early college high school in Indianapolis, Indiana. In her roles as Principal and Director of Counseling, 100% of her students who graduated were also accepted to 4-year colleges and universities. Daphne earned her Master’s of Education in School Counseling from Indiana University and her Bachelor’s Degree from Xavier University (Ohio).
