Chief Operating Officer

In her role as Chief Operating Officer Guerschmide Saint-Ange ensures day-to-day operational excellence, develops more efficient organizational processes and infrastructure, and executes on a comprehensive talent and organizational development strategy.

Before joining NACSA, Guerschmide was the Executive Director of a charter school in Brooklyn where she successfully turned around the academic outcomes and operational effectiveness of the school. Guerschmide also spent several years leading the charter authorizing team at the NYC Department of Education where she managed a portfolio of 40 NYC-based charter schools. Guerschmide began her career as a classroom teacher and sees herself, primarily, as an educator.

She holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English Education from Hampton University and a master’s degree in education policy and management from Harvard University.

Guerschmide’s core belief is that every child deserves to have access to a quality school in their neighborhood. Her hope is that one day the school choice movement will be about programs as quality becomes a given for our society. She continues to work with organizations that expand access and increase the quality of school options, especially for Black and brown students.

Guerschmide loves traveling the world with her husband and daughter.
