U.S. Department of Education Announces State Education Agency (SEA) Grant Recipients of the Charter School Program (CSP)

The National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NACSA) is pleased to congratulate all state educational agency (SEA) grant recipients of the Department of Education Charter School Program (CSP) grant. On September 28, 2015, the Department announced new grants totaling more than $157 million through the CSP grant. NACSA is proud to have supported successful proposals from the Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, and South Carolina Departments of Education, and to be a partner in plans for strengthening charter school oversight and accountability in each of their respective states.

This year’s SEA grant program awarded $125 million in new grants to eight states. This funding is essential to creating a consistently high-performing, transparent, and accountable charter sector across the nation.

In a press statement released on September 28, NACSA applauded the department’s focus on quality oversight and accountability.
