Assistant Director of Strategic Planning, Indianapolis Mayor’s OEI

Aerionna Martin serves as the Assistant Director of Strategic Planning in the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office of Education Innovation (OEI). The office oversees over 40 charter schools, serving nearly 20,000 students. She began at OEI as a Governance Performance Analyst, holding charter school boards accountable and supporting them in filling their gaps. In her present role, she leads OEI’s governance work and manages the office’s site visit protocol. Aerionna began her career as a Teach for America corps member and taught middle school English Language Arts in an Indianapolis elementary school. Aerionna holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame.
