Janet Dinnen is the Director of Data and Communications at the Colorado Charter School Institute (CSI). Since joining CSI in 2013, Janet has taken on a variety of roles, focusing on areas including data analysis, school development, and compliance monitoring. Janet currently oversees the new and conversion school application processes, the collection and validation of student and staff level data for its 41 charter schools, and the organization’s recently developed communications team. She is also actively involved in the newly organized Colorado Association for Charter School Authorizers (CACSA). Prior to joining CSI, Janet served as a high school teacher and later directed technology and communications efforts at a Colorado Springs charter school. Her career in the charter sector began in Dayton, Ohio where she worked with a charter authorizer and charter management organization. In her free time, Janet enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, and keeping up with her two sons, Ethan (age 2 ½) and Oliver (age 1 ½).
