Morgan Powell

Director of Learning and Development

Morgan works with her team to help charter school authorizers develop and advance their skills as authorizing professionals and leaders and connect them with the larger authorizing community by designing, delivering, and evaluating instructionally sound learning solutions.

Morgan was a Teach for America Corps Member in Chicago. She comes to NACSA from Gary Comer College Prep Charter School, where she was a sixth-grade science teacher.

Morgan holds a certificate in Advanced E-Learning Instructional Design from the Association of Talent Development and is continuing her education through coursework at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Morgan also holds her master’s in education from Dominican University. Her bachelor’s degree comes from Harvard University.

Morgan believes that a quality education system has the potential to fix systemic issues that have become deeply rooted in our society. She is determined to define this quality system and make it a reality for all students.

Outside of the NACSA office, Morgan devotes much of her time to health and wellness.
