Rontéau Coppin
Director of People Operations & Administration
As NACSA’s Director of People Operations & Administration, Rontéau builds equitable, transparent people systems that strengthen organizational culture, streamline operations, support staff development, and align talent practices in service of NACSA’s mission.
Growing up in New York City public schools and later working in education, Rontéau understands how systems and inequities within them directly shape outcomes for students and their communities. That lived experience grounds her equity-centered approach today, fueling her passion for building people-first systems that create spaces for employees to feel seen, heard, and valued.
She is a people operations and culture leader with experience across both HR and organizational operations in nonprofit organizations. She began her career in education as a teacher in charter schools and quickly transitioned into operations roles, including work at the Department of Education. Prior to joining NACSA, Rontéau served as the People & Culture Manager at Data & Society Research Institute, where she developed equity-centered people systems to enhance employee experience and evolve organizational culture.
Rontéau holds a master’s in general business management from the Metropolitan College of New York and a bachelor’s in Africana Studies from Mount Holyoke College. She also studied abroad at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
When she isn’t focused on supporting people and organizational culture, Rontéau enjoys traveling far and wide, singing with a community choir, and diligently keeping her LinkedIn Puzzles streak alive.
