The heart of our research is data on the state of charter school authorizing, collected from those doing the work. We share findings annually to measure progress and chart the course to greater excellence.
From 2008 to 2016, we annually surveyed our nation’s authorizers. NACSA documented its findings in nine annual reports (see below). Survey findings provide an annual measuring stick for those in the field of authorizing, and they help education decision makers, foundations, legislators, and researchers inform their understanding of the field of charter school authorizing.
Currently, NACSA reports national data on authorizer demographics, school openings, and school closures on our Authorizing By the Numbers page.
