NACSA Supports Federal Bills to Strengthen Charter School Facilities and Oversight

NACSA is pleased to support H.R. 7086, the Equitable Access to School Facilities Act, and H.R. 7082, the Fostering Learning and Excellence in Charter Schools (FLEX) Act, two bills that strengthen the conditions for high-quality charter schools and effective oversight. The Facilities Act helps states expand and modernize facilities support so charter schools can invest more resources in teaching and learning rather than real estate costs. And the FLEX Act improves the federal Charter Schools Program by enabling funds to be used more effectively while maintaining strong accountability for public dollars. Together, these policies support stronger authorizing and help ensure more students have access to excellent public education opportunities.
